In a first of its kind for Allu Arjun, the star’s latest film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo has entered into all-time Top 5 grossers in the United States. The film directed by maverick Trivikram Srinivas has beaten Saaho’s full run gross and thus ranked at No. 5 among the highest grossing films of the US. Interestingly, this is first USD 3 million movie for Allu Arjun. The actor’s previous blockbuster Sarrainodu hasn’t fared well in the US as expected. His last films that performed well in the US were Race Gurram (USD 1.4 Million), S/o Satyamurthy ( USD 1.3 Million) and Duvvada Jagannadham (USD 1.2 Million). So, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’s blockbuster collection in the US gives big boost to Bunny and his fans.
At 3 AM EST on Jan 25, 2020, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo grossed USD 56,722 From 100 Locations and thus took the Total gross to USD 3,234,759. With this, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo has zoomed past Prabhas’ Saaho.
Now, Ala’s US collection is posing threat to Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu that is standing at No.4 with USD 3.4 million and Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam (USD 3.5 Million). Prabhas and Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 and Baahubali 1 are unbeatable. Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is eyeing a Non-Baahubali record in the US. But US collections of Ala have slowed down, so one has to wait and watch, whether Allu Arjun’s movie would beat Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam or not.
